About Leighton
Leighton Hope has been a Law Enforcement Professional for 42 years. He has served as an Executive member of the Association of Black Law Enforcers (ABLE) and has liaised with the Ontario Police College on Diversity for new Police Officers. He is a past member of the Ontario Chiefs of Police Diversity Committee, has served on Ontario Government Committees on Diversity, and worked with cultural events such as Black History Month celebrations. Leighton is also a proud member of Canada’s 1976 4 X 4 Relay Team at the Olympics in Montreal in 1976. He has coached various teams, such as Track and Field, Basketball, and Football. Leighton also has had personal experience supporting and advocating for seniors and is extremely motivated and passionate about continuing work advocating for dignity and supportive care for them.
